DESCRIPTION OF THE RELINING PROCESSING METHOD


Relining technology finds an application in the renovation of pressure and gravity conduits. It bases on inserting a new self-supporting PE pipe into the existing carrier pipe.
The diameter of the new pipe is, as a rule, smaller than the diameter of the renovated conduit.

The new self-supporting, thick-walled PE pipe is pulled into the old circular conduit. Usually the PE pipe sections are jointed in site by butt-welding to achieve dimension necessary to be pulled out between two or more manholes (for sewage systems), or assembling excavations. The diameter of the inserted pipe is usually smaller by one dimension than the renovated one. For the new pipe inserting it is necessary to make at least one especially excavated entry shaft (for sewage systems) of dimensions related to the conduit depth and the diameter of inserting pipe. In case of pressure conduit renovation the number of excavation increases up to minimum two.
